How to participate
As denoted here and here, The Diffraction launches as a one-person labor of love. But! Despite that specific reality, there are many different ways you can participate, and I sincerely hope you will.
Fans
Send me ideas! What do you want covered? What are your pet peeves about concerts? What do you love about live music. I do sincerely hope to have enough infrastructure and subscriptions to pay for essays in the future.

Bands
I would love to interview you! Some questions are the same as above? What are YOUR pet peeves about concerts? What do you remember from your first tour? Are you about to embark upon your first tour? I'd also love to hear what you think makes a great show - the bands you love seeing and what you have tried to bring into your own shows.

Bookers
Curators? Bookers? Whatever you are called, I'd love to talk to you about your experiences. I'm not just saying this - I find the work you do fascinating and feel your talents are often undervalued. I would love to hear about your process, what excites you about running shows and what you hate.

Ask a booker/organizer
I'd love to demystify the process of putting on a show. I plan to ask our concertgoer readers to submit questions for you to answer.

Help out your fellow show bookers and share what you've learned.
Curator Corner
Going deep with the people who make the shows happen about their own interests and how they find the bands they book.
Venue managers/owners
I think it's super important for fans and bands have a better understanding of your business, such as the challenges you're facing. We understand that many independent venues are struggling right now, so providing context on what you're going through could be beneficial to the overall ecosystem. And it may help them understand why you're charging $14 for a beer.
